Walk for Saturday 11 January 2025
Taking the 9.45am bus south from Guildford Square to Kilchattan, starting at Kilchattan Post Office, cutting through the track behind the Orchard to walk down Plan Road then walking part of the way round Garroch Head, passing a couple of the caves at the southernmost point of the Island. We will then cut up grassy slopes onto St Blanes Hill before descending and returning to Kilchattan on the West Island Way via St Blanes Chapel. The walk round Garroch Head is very rocky underfoot in parts, walking boots with decent ankle support required. Bring a picnic. 8 miles, moderate, led by Peter (07925 464035).

Walk for Saturday, 28th December 2024
Our last walk for 2024, Barone Hill. 10am from the Discovery Centre to walk up Barone Hill and to Loch Fad before returning to Rothesay. An easy 5 miles, gentle climbs, good views (weather permitting) led by Barbara (07412 447676).
