Saturday, 10th June 2023 - Fairlie station to Kaim Hill - note amendments
9am ferry to Wemyss Bay (wait at ferry terminal before buying ticket until leader confirms walk will go ahead). 6 miles, strenuous, about 4 hours walking, some long steep climbs and good views. Bring a picnic, cafe at end.

Alternative short (3 mile) walk offered by Shona - Skipper woods to Ardencraig Gardens, and back via the shore. Leaving at 11am from the Discovery Centre .

Walk and Barbecue for Saturday 3 June 2023
Meet 10am at the Discovery Centre, Rothesay, for an easy 4 mile walk via the Meadows, Barone Road and the West Island Way to end at Pat and Janet's for the barbecue at 12. You can deliver any food and drink on Friday beforehand to save carrying it on the walk. If you're not walking, please arrive about 12 for the barbecue. Walk for Saturday 27 May 2023
It’s the Port Gala from 10am onwards on Saturday. In a change from the walk on the programme, Barbara will lead an easy 2 mile walk from the bus turning circle at Port Bannatyne, walking via the tramway to Ettrick Bay. The return is either by public transport, or walk back in time to enjoy the festivities at the port.
If you can help setting up our information stand, please be at the park at Port Bannatyne from about 9.15 onwards. Patrick and Margaret will be setting up the gazebo and display. Any help manning the stall during the rest of the day would be very welcome. The weather is looking good so we’re hoping for a fun day.
Don’t forget, it’s your last chance to book (and pay!) for the barbecue the following week on June 3rd.
