Walk for Saturday 2 September 2023
Four farms Drumachloy-Achavoulag-Kildavanan, 4 miles, easy.
09:45 bus north from Guildford Square to Ettrick Bay, or meet at Ettrick Bay, return by public transport (hourly). Please bring something to eat and drink (cafe at the end of the walk), dress for the conditions.

Walk for Saturday 26 August 2023
Some amendments to the advertised route for the 7 farms due to an obstruction found on the recce. Now starting at 10am from Lovely Cottage, Ardbeg, walking up the Gortans and then taking the WIW thru to the Tramway, continuing on up thru West St Colmac, around the hill to Lower Ettrick, right along the Glenmore Rd to Upper Ettrick, Kilbride and Achavoulaig, over the hill to Kildavannan, finishing at Ettrick Bay cafe. Return wil be by bus or Shank's pony. Bring your own sandwiches or hang on till the cafe. The leader would advise gaiters and a pole as the section near Kildavannan Farm has some localized field run-off and mud. The time for the walk should be 7 miles/4 hours. An easy access 3 mile walk from Ettrick Bay along the Scarrel shore and back. Meet at Ettrick Bay Tearoom at 11:00 (bus north from Guildford Square Rothesay at 10:45). If it’s your first time out with us, please let the leader, Marion, know on 07791 903956.

West Island Way south loop from Kilchattan. 09:45 bus south from Guildford Square to Kilchattan terminus. 8 miles, moderate. Bring something to eat and drink, and dress for the conditions. Please let the leader, Paul, know if you’re coming out with us for the first time (07541 080332).
