Rothesay to Port Bannatyne Meet 10am at the Discovery Centre to walk along Barone Road and then follow the West Island Way to Port Bannatyne for our annual barbecue. 4 miles, easy, led by Barbara (07412 447676). If you're not walking but coming to the barbecue, aim to arrive about 12.30.

Knocknicol to Rothesay Taking the 9.45am bus south from Guildford Square to Mount Stuart and walking through Knicknicol wood and via the Moor Road and Loch Fad back to Rothesay. 5 miles, easy, led by Marion (07791 903956).

Walk for Tuesday, 9th June 2026
Largs to Wemyss Bay Taking the 10am ferry from Rothesay to Wemyss Bay, then the bus to Largs and walking back to Wemyss Bay via the Ayrshire Coastal path, Skelmorlie and the Kelly Burn. Meet at the ferry terminal but do not purchase tickets until the walk leaders confirm the walk will go ahead. 8 miles, moderate, led by Marion (07791 903956) and Barbara (07412 447676).

Scalpsie Bay to Clachan Ard fort circular Parking at the Scalpsie Bay car park to walk to the fort and return by a different route. Rough tracks. Bring a picnic. Meet 10am at West Kirk car park for car sharing. Contact the leader, Patrick (07734 291751) in advance to ensure a place. 3 miles, easy.
